KarateMom
I'm new at this so my favorite right now is Head punch, body punch, rising knee strike. ~*KarateMom*~
redbutt
Just an observation here, but body blows are somewhat useless unless you are REALLY accurate and very powerful. This is especially true against big guys. I'm not that big at all and I have been blasted in the stomach, chest, etc....yeah it hurts, but it didn't stop me at all. Remember that the solarplexus is ont aboutt he size of a coin...it's hard to hit cleanly on a moving target. My personal favorite is a fumikomi (stomping kick) to the knee followed by an Uraken (back fist) to the temple or back of the jaw. G95champ
I personally like to finish with a spinnign kick tot he gut. However to say I have a favorite combo I can't. I just throw stuff that comes to mind. Im sure I do some more than others but I realy can't say waht they are. However if I can land my spinning thrust kick I will. I disagree about goig to the stomcach. Im a big guy and I know a lot of big guys. Shots to the ribs and kidney take a toll. The stomach is usually simpler to hit becasue most people are worried about their face. Thus I always look to go to the chest and stomach. However My first target is the legs with low roundhouse kicks or cressuant kicks via Thia Boxing. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
Pacificshore
Hi KM, Welcome BTW One of my favorite combos when in competition was the front leg sweep followed by a reverse punch to the ribs. Another was the lead leg double roundhouse, groin then head if open As far as for street self defense purposes, I focus on keeping my kicks low, and my hands high......and off we go with what may come!! SeiDoRyu
One of my favourites although probably not very effective because you would need to stun them with the first punch, is Chockuzuki jodan (head punch) chockuzuki chudan (body punch) Jodan Mawashi Empi same hand Uraken Uki Chudan strike Agezuki (uppercut type) Kyten Uraken Looks good but limited applications Just my opinions, toast me if you want ------------Understanding what you do not understand is far more important than what you think you know.
