TheAnimal Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Don't forget that in a street fight against an untrained whatever guy, one hard leg kick can end it for you. Land one in the stomache or side, I've seen guys projectile vomit because of it. (To be fair, I think he was drinking.)
powerof0ne Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 If they're drinking it's probably smarter to attack them in the gut Just watch out for the vomit!I know when I used to go clubbing you could hit me anywhere...but the stomache! flowing like the chi energy inside your body b =rZa=
seersin Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Being a good Christian dude,I try to avoid confrontation, however if necessary,as someone else mentioned(I don't remember who)but a well placed knee to tha thigh will end things quickly.I really enjoy tha knee and tha roundhouse to tha thigh, and tha beauty is tha average guy starting stuff out in tha world has no idea how bad it's gonna charlie horse him up. powerof0ne Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 If it was necessary I would just kick against the knee...In sparring/copetition doing a dtae or a kao to the thigh is the way to go.Kicking against the knee cap with a sidekick/front kick or to the side of it...ouch. flowing like the chi energy inside your body b =rZa=
seersin Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Yeah,I really enjoy strike to tha knee as well.So quick and effective. ISAIAH 53:5
powerof0ne Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Kicking a Thaiboxer to the shins is effective? I think you'd be better off kicking against their knee...The last time I competed in a Muay Thai fight I checked my opponents leg and body kicks 2 or 3 times and he didn't kick me after that...my shins are much harder then his were. flowing like the chi energy inside your body b =rZa=
seersin Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Yeah,I wouldn't suggest kicking many seasoned Muay Thai practicioners in tha shins. ISAIAH 53:5
ElbowTKO Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 When you guys are talking about kicking the knee you do mean a sidekick or front kick right?Because I can't imagine doing a round kick to the knee, it only spikes your shin back Aikido have names for techniques like "heaven and earth."which represents the creation of the universe along with a philosophical meaning.Muay Thai have names for techniques like "closing the lamp", which means "punch him in the eye."
powerof0ne Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I'm talking about a side kick or a front snap or push(teep)..you can do it on the front of the knee or to the side..but you could do a dtae/muay thai roundhouse to the side of the knee too. This is Karate and other MAs 101...to do a low side kick against the knee. Kicking a Thaiboxer to the shin, though? I don't think so. flowing like the chi energy inside your body b =rZa=
