ATA just probably mixed it in the curriculum. unknownstyle Posted January 2, 2006 Share Posted January 2, 2006 why did the one dude say that karate wasn't supposed to have weapons, i know that shorin wasnt just blended with kubudo, the old masters had to learn the weapons in order to defend against the samurai, thats why alot of karate systems dont use katana. because they keep to the roots and the original practitioners weren't aloud the use of swords "Live life easy and peacefully, but when it is time to fight become ferocious."
