blue- pinan 2

1 stripe- matsumura bo 1

2 stripe- seisan

green- wansu

1 stripe- naihanchi 1, matsumura bo 2

2 stripe- naihanchi 2, anunku no sai

brown- anunku sai

and i'm not sure after that. my school is only about three years old and the highest rank is 5th kyu and my system is matsumura seito shorin ryu

Yeah that really is a huge amount of kata to learn. I've seen worse though.

I don't think I could list all the kata we learn in my style. I think most of the black belts in my class know anywhere from 30-45 kata, and sensei knows around 65, I think. Seito Shito-Ryu is widely known for it's number of kata.

That is quite a lot of katas. My style averages at about 2-3 katas per rank. Incidentally it takes an average amount of time to promote to the next rank (6 months).

Hayashi Ha Shito-Ryu has 63 kata's, of these I train 40 of them. From what I have read, Kenwa Mabuni taught 70 Kata's and he train 99 Kata's, some were his own Kata's.
