junkie23 Posted April 5, 2002 Posted April 5, 2002 Can a ITF stylist compete for the Olympics or WTF sponsored competition?
koreantiger81 Posted April 5, 2002 Posted April 5, 2002 Well, I believe you need a W.T.F registration number, which is issued by the Kukkiwon. Without this "registration number", you are not eligible to compete in the Olympics. However, with regional tournaments or small tournaments, you might be able to compete in a W.T.F tournament, as long as no one finds out. Kinesiologist/TrainerBlack-Belt
TKD_McGee Posted April 5, 2002 Posted April 5, 2002 I supose you could register with WTF if you wanted to go olympics, ive never tried it so i wouldnt know. Im not olympic material! Do unto others, as they done to you.
junkie23 Posted April 6, 2002 Author Posted April 6, 2002 awww... i just found out that PTA (Philippine Taekwondo Ass.) is with WTF no wonder its highly endorsed by MILO because its sport TKD.
Bretty101 Posted April 7, 2002 Posted April 7, 2002 Hi all, I'd be really suprised if it was easy for an ITF fighter to get the opportunity to compete in the olympics. Lets not forget this is politics-kwon-do we're talking about!!! ITF Bretty
