AndrewGreen Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 bop 'em on the head with it sorry, I got nothing... I wouldn't really consider it a practical weapon, more of a cool toy. Andrew Greenhttp://innovativema.ca - All the top martial arts news!
Pacificshore Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 i was gonna suggest that you open it up, hold it in one hand, and start moving it in an up and down motion using only wrist action. you should begin to feel the air flow from there Di'DaDeeeee!!!Mind of Mencia
pineapple Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 From a closed position, open it suddenly in front of their face to obscure their vision, then thrust it forward and strike them. What works works
pineapple Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 PS: After your opponent falls to the ground, you can apply Pacificshore's technique. What works works
FightingFanDemoTeam Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 fighting fans can be used in sync with self-defense skills...when closed, it can be used to strike an opponent at a pressure point or other painful spot...opening the fan in certain ways can stun your opponent...when opened it can be used to stap or slash...also, i'm not sure, but if you get really big ones you can make some wind that will blow into your opponents eyes and that will irritate their eyes...i hope this helps!!! Keep holding on, but if you let go, I'll catch you.
Spirit At Choice Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 It seems to me that many people who know tessenjutsu do not advertise classes. If you are interested in learning tessenjutsu with your fighting fan, you might just like to call around some dojos and see whom you can find.It might help to call or email major martial arts associations (especially Japanese styles) and see if they can help you find an instructor. This is something that intrigues me that I would love to investigate further.Spirit White belt mind.
