jedimc
I want to buy a MA rpg game and I have found Mortal Kombat: shaolin monks and Jade Empire, Are these games good. I know that Jade empire has got made up styles and I would rather the real names instead of made up ones but it looks like a good game . I have played Shenmue II which is a RPG from sega dreamcast but it was ported to xbox , this is one of the best games I have played and it was a joy to play. http://jedimc.tripod.com/ma.html - what MA do you do, this is my poll. Jbone1
Jade Empire has made up names for the styles, but the moves are real deal. It's more of an RPG than the others. I haven't played Sholin Monks yet, but Shenmue is cool.I'm still waiting on Shenmue 3, the story is definately not finished. jedimc
so the styles in Jade empire are real but are they mixed or the same as say tai chi or wing chun or is one style got a few tai chi moves and a few wing chun moves etc. http://jedimc.tripod.com/ma.html - what MA do you do, this is my poll. Jbone1
Yeah they are real. You can tell playing them because they move so real. YOu can tell they put someone in the black suit with the lights on it to catch the movements. "What's your style?""My style?""You can call it the art of fighting without fighting." DragonMike
Jade Empire is awesome. They created a huge back story that adds to the feeling that you are playing in a real world. I ggive it two thumbs up. 5th Dan Tang Soo Do
MizuRyu
Shaolin Monks gets mixed reviews, my buddy here says it's an amazing game, but I've heard otherwise from different people. I own Jade Empire and lemme tell ya, gotta buy it! Don't even rent it, because if you have an appreciation for well made games, Chinese culture, and martial arts, you'll love it. TaeKwonDo Afficianado
2 thumbs up here for Jade Empire.I played that game nonstop after I first put it in my xbox.Shenmue eh? Ill have to check that out.Dynasty warriors series is also good, but theyre not really MA oriented, mainly they use weapons in the game, and , then again its not really an RPG either. But if you like Jade Empire you might possibly like it.all the best,Tom
