BlueDragon1981 Posted July 12, 2002 Posted July 12, 2002 Actually most of the movies that Jet Li has done in america he has done the majority of the stunts. Lethal Weapon 4 Romeo Must Die Kiss Of the Dragon The One He does have lots of gel and hairspray in his hair. He kind of obseses about his hair. He does a scene and if it is messed up he gets it fixed. That is why after each seen his hair is not messed up....
BlueDragon1981 Posted July 12, 2002 Posted July 12, 2002 I cant wait for Triple X either. Do you want to see it for the action or for Vin Diesal though KickChick.

Has anyone seen warriors of virtue..lolz??..its pretty good..like a kids movie but with martial arts..?..if any of u have kids..show dem that, they will like it When you put water into a cup,it becomes the cup. When you put water in a T-Pot,it becomes the T-Pot..be water my friend!!
Don Gwinn Posted July 12, 2002 Posted July 12, 2002 Legionnaire was actually the best thing Van Damme was ever in--I was honestly surprised at the quality of the movie. Much better than his normal fare where you're on the FF button half the time. Van Damme is a very good athlete, not much of an actor, but his biggest handicap is the constant repetition of the same role in the same plot. I actually liked Warriors of Virtue. Lethal Weapon? Can't stand it. Constantly preaching about those awful gun nuts and mythical "cop killer bullets" that shoot through bulldozer blades, but the hero is running around shoving guns in tourists' faces for laughs. Vin Diesel has a long road to travel in order to atone for The Fast and the Furious. King of the Stupid movies. Plus his character was a pansy, which never helps. ____________________________________* Ignorant Taekwondo beginner.http://www.thefiringline.com
Eye of the Tiger Posted July 13, 2002 Posted July 13, 2002 Of couses Van Damme does all of his fighting scenes. Okay he might have stunt doubles on some of the more dangerous stunts, but why risk your life making a movie? I have always stood up for Van Damme and will continue to do so. Anyway, does anyone know anything about that rumour about Chuck Zito KO Van Damme, I think its just a lye.
KickChick Posted August 7, 2002 Author Posted August 7, 2002 John Woo's "Red Skies" is on tonight! http://www.usanetwork.com/movies/redskies/
BlueDragon1981 Posted August 8, 2002 Posted August 8, 2002 I watched Red Skies last night. I thought that it was a descent movie. Kind of out of the ordnary to have a two women fight scene. What were the names of the two women in that movie. Lee and the blond she faught with?
OldRookie Posted August 9, 2002 Posted August 9, 2002 *&%$#@++"&*!!!-I saw the promo for Red Skies & then forgot to watch it! ....Ahhh-they'll probably run it again in a night or two... What is the newest Jet Li flick coming out?....."Hero" or "The Hero"....?..something like that I think..?.. *1st Dan Oct 2004*"Progress lies not enhancing what is, but in advancing toward what will be.""It is better to deserve honors and not have them than to have them and not deserve them."
Martial_Artist Posted August 9, 2002 Posted August 9, 2002 I like Mr. Nice Guy(Jackie Chan), Once Upon a Time in China series 1-8(I don't like 9 or 10)(Jet Li), Fist of Legend(Jet Li), Return of the Dragon(Bruce Lee), Operation Condor: Armor of God(Jackie Chan), The New Legend of Shaolin(Jet Li), Fist of Fury(Bruce Lee), Chinese Connection(Bruce Lee), Dragons Forever(Jackie Chan), Wheels on Meals(Jackie Chan), Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon(Chow Yun Fat), The Legend of Fong Sai Yuk(Jet Li), Kiss of the Dragon(Jet Li), The Enforcer(Jet Li), The One(Jet Li), Once Upon a Time in China & America(Jet Li), Iron Monkey(not the Quentin Tarentino release, the original chinese)(Donnie Yen) The Replacement Killers(Chow Yun Fat) God of Gamblers(Chow Yun Fat) Police Story & Police Story 2 (Jackie Chan) Twin Warriors(american title) (Jet Li) Oh, I can't really remember the rest. There are too many I enjoy. I like to watch them in the chinese. When these movies come out here, most of them don't have the original chinese, not even the DVD's released here have the chinese tracks(CT,HD being one of the exceptions) The Hong Kong DVD's and VCD's are much better than the dubbed versions released here. Many of the flicks released here even change the soundtrack. The movies are so much better when viewed in the original. I really love original Hong Kong martial arts productions. Not the mass produced ones released here(mostly from the seventies to mid-eighties), but early 90's to present Chinese heritage films. There aren't very many US made action films that I really enjoy. Most of the time they play to tastes different than mine. Chinese movies, however poor in production(and those not trying to be American) have a culture to them that I enjoy. I don't like Vin Diesel nor Van Damme. I find them both cheesy. Actually, there isn't an american action hero I like. Although Pierce Brosnan makes a good James Bond. (My personal favorite being Roger Moore) When I was younger no action star could top Arnold. With movies like Predator, Commando, Terminator who could top him??........
