Cuong Nhu Fury
This looks like a great and informative forum, so I decided to join. I've studied Cuong Nhu for the last seven years, and have just recently began study on Snake Kung Fu and Dragon Kung Fu. It should be a pleasure interacting with you martial artists here at the Karate Forums.

Cuong Nhu Fury
Welcome..I'm from NJ as well. I never heard of Cuong Nhu...can you tell me about this style?Absolutley. Cuong Nhu is a Vietnamese style of Karate. It's name comes from the Vietnamese phrase for yin and yang because it combines both hard (Shotokan Karate, Wing Chun, Kung Fu American boxing) and soft techniques ( Judo, Aikido, Tai Chi and the Vietnamese style of Vovinam). The first school of Cuong Nhu was founded in 1965 in Hue, Vietnam, by Grandmaster Ngo Dong. In 1971, while working on his PhD at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Grandmaster Dong established the first U.S. School of Cuong Nhu. Since that time, many schools have sprung up across the nation. And thanks for the warm welcome.
