swordwiz7 Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 the bo is better for beginers... waxonwaxoff Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I would most definatly choose bo staff, because it is the most practical. I mean, come on, how often do you carry around a pair of kamas?? If you got into a fight at a bar or something, do you think some nunchucks would be lying around somewhere?? Bo staff is definatly the way to go!! Come to CHRIST who is the living foundation of rock upon which GOD builds!! ^1st Peter 2:4^
Jeet Kune Do Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Bo and Nunchaku because the Nunchaku is good in helping with martial arts, and the Bo because what everyone else said A drop of sweat spent in practice is a drop of blood saved in a battle.A person who say it cannot be done should not interrupt the man doing it.
shotokanbeginner Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 The bo I beleive would be a good one to go with, I would do that or even though you don't have it up there the jo or sai everyone has fear, but it is when we let it overcome us that we losesoft, hard, slow, fast components of kata
strangepair03 Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Bo....plenty of time for the other goodies!! A punch should stay like a treasure in the sleeve. It should not be used indiscrimately.Kyan Chotoku Sensei
Bushido58266 Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 i prefer bo staffs, nunchaku's are illegal in my state but i would like to try kama's out "Bushido is realized in the presence of death""TapouT or PassouT"
Sohan Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Definitely the bo. Respectfully,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." patusai Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 the bo is good for beginners but it takes a long time to really master. From a legal standpoint you can't go wrong. I mean you can carry it around with you without problem...it's just a stick. The only problem is that it requires more space then the other that you mentioned to perform and practice it right. If you have the room for practice do bo would be my suggestion. "Don't tell me the sky's the limit because I have seen footprints on the moon!" -- Paul Brandt
