Skinny Ninja Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 There is a magazine in the UK called Traditional Karate which is what it says it is and isn't a mix of all sorts of martial arts. Go Kan Ryu do a club magazine which is a full glossy but obviously about that style.
shotochem Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 A good read is a magazine called "classical fighting arts" a quarterly publication. Also The journal of Asian Martial Arts is and excellent read. It is also a quarterly. I pick them up at Borders bookstore as I get issues that interest me. I don't like to do subscriptions. Pain is only temporary, the memory of that pain lasts a lifetime.
Meguro Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Even in Japan, Karate mags are losing shelf space to activities such as golf, surfing, auto's etc. On the increase are mags devoted to mma and prowrestling. Seems to be a classic case of supply and demand.
