MasterH Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I agree. I would be more likley to through out a basic joint lock than a 720 hook any time. -Adam Adam (Fluffy) Huntleyhttps://www.rleeermey.comhttps://www.martialartsindustry.net

But then again, since its never happened to me on the street (in 23 years of training) its not an issue. Of course had I known that was gonna be the case, I wouldn't have bought all those pairs of Chuck Norris & Billy Jack jeans from Century & all those Rex Kwon Do pants fro Zubbaz. They didn't have the flag pants, tho. Just crazy patterns. Being a good fighter is One thing. Being a good person is Everything. Kevin "Superkick" McClinton
h2whoa Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 From whit to red (or however you are ranked), is imply preperatin for the journey, the journey begins at black! No matter how fashionable it is in Krypton, I will not wear my underwear on the outside of my Gi!!
Ryokeen Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 who else agrees with me when I say that when you get your 1st black belt thats when the real pain, and sweat training begins No to mean, once I get my blackbelt that means I'll be able to really study the arts, becuase Iw on't have to worry about that next test, or what not. I can go back and look at the moves and forms and stances. The real hard part is getting ready for regionals then nationals then maybe a worlds? All in my plans. Needing to focus...

Hate to tell you, but once you get to black, there are still new forms, weapons, testings, etc. They are just more spaced out is all.Concentrate hard on the basics, and all the rest will fall in line, even the regionals, nationals and worlds. Good luck!Aodhan There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.-Douglas Everett, American hockey player
IcemanSK Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I just ordered a belt from Eosin-Panther. Just my name on one end & my style on the other (both in Korean). No stripes, or rank. I plan to wear it for a long time. Hopefully, my focus will always be on improving, not on my accomplishments. Being a good fighter is One thing. Being a good person is Everything. I want to do the same thing but my instructor insists on the belt he gave me......kind of overdone.......but he wrapped it around my waist so, that's the way it is.
