Heard this from a judge when I took a tumble at a regional as a brand new black belt.

I was sparring in tournament at a conference center (Carpet over concrete). Every time I front kicked, the guy leaned forward and x-blocked. So, I set him up a couple times, then when he came in for another x-block off my front kick, I brought my right leg up and over for a crescent kick, bringing both feet off the floor.

Well, he saw this, tried to bring his arms around and up to block, bringing my lower leg with it, turning me upside down, and then crashing down upon my head and shoulder. All I remember is the center judge muttering "Oh please, don't be dead." I just started laughing when I heard that, they thought I had been knocked silly.

There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.

I have a video of my cousin and one of her classmates at a tournament doing a demo kata for the grandmaster for his birthday. The music playing was The Lion Sleeps Tonight. In the middle of the kata the face each other and start doing the Macarena. Then people started coming out of the stands and joining in.

aefibird...sorry about not responding sooner. I'll see what I can do you send you a copy.

I got in a wreck on Halloween (Oct 31) and I've been laying around a lot taking it easy instead of sitting up at the PC desk. I start PT on Monday because my back and neck are still giving me discomfort and pain. I had gotten rear ended by a guy who didn't see me stoped at the light. He slamed into me at full speed. My seat broke as I was thrust forward into the rear of the van in front of me. I ened up in a reclined seat that's not supposed to reclined, and sideways. He was taken on a stretcher to the ER. His insurane wants to total my Blazer but I want to keep it and fic it back up. Its a classic 1978 Chevy Blazer K5, and the only one like it around here. I get all kinds of compliments about it. Or, I did.
