What impact have the martial arts had on your life?

Recommended Posts

Have the martial arts changed your life (for better or maybe worse) to the point where you "wouldn't be where you are without them?"

Are they simply a part of the experiences you've had in your life? Your life would be great even without them.

Martial arts have changed my life for the better i believe if i didnt start kickboxing i would not have finished college i would be hanging out with the wrong crowd and getting high every night, and still MA is the only reason why im not like that any more. it keeps me focused and i feel blessed that i have found something that i love soooo much.

I think it helped me improve my confidence, look at thing more relaxed and focused, definitely helped to curb aggression and anger building up inside, it was good for both the mind and the body. It's an important part of my life but not crucial, my thoughts don't revolve around martial arts all the time.

Hmm, I hope you didn't start training at 26 . . . :P

Since begining MA, I've learned the cliched, yet immesurably valuable lesson: you can do anything if you put your mind [and sweat] to it :D . I've found myself, NEVER the athletic type in any circumstances, achieveing physical acomplishments of which I would have never imagined myself capable. I've found something to be passionate about, and hopefully it won't be long before I can make a career of it (hmm, then I'll be a haircut away from making my mother proud!). Of course, thanks to MA, I'm now I'm in the best shape I've ever been in (there's still not much to me, but I'm pretty confident that I could hold my own agianst a strong breeze  ).

That's the martial arts spirit we all love to see. :D :D :D
