Technique or strength?

Recommended Posts

That is true Yamesu, I concur. People need to spend an equal amount of time working the tactical as well as technical aspects of their chosen art!!

No matter how fashionable it is in Krypton, I will not wear my underwear on the outside of my Gi!!

You for sure do not want to exchange blows with a larger attacker, so grappling would be the better option. Technique has always proven itself over strength but this doesn't mean you won't both be taking a trip to the hospital.

GRappling with a 300 lbs attacker?

Yes against a 300lb. attacker. I am only saying this because I have experience. And not to say that a smaller person could not knockout a larger but WOW the consequences if you don.t.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward,

Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both,

For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, If I live I will kill you, If I die you are forgiven.

Such is the rule of HONOR!

I just see it difficult to roll around with 300 lb mass. Fat or muscles. If you are on the top and have a chance to apply a lock or a hold it good. But what if he is on the top. Also what happens after the lock is applied? IF you break him, you will face legal consequences. IF you let him go, you are in square one.
