Hey guys! STORY TIME..lol! anyway...share with us some interesting stories that your instructor has told you OOR stories you can tell us that happened to you in your experience through MA!

Here is mine that my instructor told us about Grandmaster Han:

As you guys probably know quarters double as throwing stars/ninja star..whichever you wanna call them.

Well anyway...Grandmaster Han was in a restaurant one day, and there was this really rude obnoxious guy making all kinds of noice, and it was bother Grandmaster Han. Well he asked the waitress to asked the guy if he would keep it down a bit, and well the waitress went over there and the guy said no i can talk if i want to and do whatever i want...well the guy didn't stop..so Grandmaster Han politely went over to the guy and asked him to please be quiet you are distrubing me and everyone else in the room, well the guys again said NO! and i imagine he said a few choice words at him, and Grandmaster Han went back and sat at his table and the guy continued with being rude and obnoxious..well Grandmaster Han reached in his pocket and pulled out a quarter and as the guy went to go take a drink Grandmaster Han threw the quarter right at his drink and his glass shattered and the guy scared to death got up and left!

Now if you have any stories! Share yours!

great story.

my story, there where two people at my school who did not like each other very much. both i considered good friends one was a BB in ATA teakwondo and the other a state champion wrestler. one day during lunch these guys really made each other angry so they decided to fight after school. i told my BB friend that he was going to be stomped and and asked him not to fight.

well he dident take my advice. the fight started and the BB did two round house kicks one hitting the wrestler in the side the other in the face. the problem was that both kicks where pulled and barely grazed him he then proceded to take down and pummel the BB.

I remember doing Shaolin Kempo with my old instructor. So I was doing forms and my crotch on my gi ripped. That was embarrasing.

Also recently I went to a taekwondo school and ended up ripping my pants sparring. That was embarrasing also.

We had two seperate visitors at a school. One was 2nd dan in goju, the other was shaolin kung fu self proclaimed master who was always taunting people to full contact spar after classes. The school was a kempo/gung-fu school and the head instructor allowed the kunf fu master to spar his top blackbelt after class one day. It didn't last long, the kung fu master took him down repeatedly slamming him, basically ground and pound. He then challenged the goju guy for the following week. The kung fu master was supposedly training for nhb competetions,he was also very arrogant and quick to tell you everything he knows. The goju guy doesn't show up for two weeks, but when he did he was challened again. The head instructor said ok,but after class. They bowed and kung fu master went for a takedown, the goju guy stepped off to a 45 stepped on his foot and gave him a nice shuto on the back of his neck, which sent him to the floor. He did this same technique the second time, the kung fu master looked up from the floor and told him that he wouldn't "let" him do that again. As soon as he stood up he went for the takedown again, same result! He decided that the match was over and faulted the goju guy for not sparring fair.

It was very funny for all those who saw it.

A blackbelt is not the beginning,it's a piece of cloth, that's all.

Good stories! I've never ripped my gi pants..i hope that never happens..that'd be embarrasing! LOL!

I have three more stories to tell ya!

THe first two are again about Grandmaster Han.

Back in Korea as a part of his training he would always sneak on trains and not pay for the ticket and he made it clear that he didnt pay and made sure he got seen by the guards, and the guards would chase him...well it was like a 10 mile ride into town where he trained and when he got there he would jump of the train, and the guards would always try to catch him, he said sometimes they caught me sometimes they didnt. Sometimes he would let them...well one day he got on the train and gave the train conductor some money, and the conductor was like well what is this for? Grandmaster Han said oh...i sneak on train everyday as part of my training..here is your money. (So he wasn't just sneaking on it b/c he didnt have money..it was part of his training) The condcutor was like no no..keep your money...u trained the guards very well!! I thought that was a good story!

Also another one about GMH:

When Grandmaster Han first moved to America he moved to Dallas, TX. Him and his wife got married, and they really didnt have any money. Well one day Grandmaster Han told his wife..u go away over the weekend, and I'll find a way to get us money. Well his wife went away for the weekend, and Grandmaster Han went into this Army base, where most new Grandmaster Han very good, well he went into this Army base gym..where they taught 4 different types of Martial Arts (Judo, Hapkido, TKD, and something else) They each had 120 students to each instructor..well Grandmaster Han went right in the middle of this gym and started doing his Youn Wha techniques..and everyone started crowding around him wanting to know what he was doing he simple said Youn Wha, and explained to them what each instructor was giving in each Martial Art you can get it here in Youn Wha Ryu...well soon Grandmaster Han had 300 students as opposed to the others with 20 students. My instructor's instructor asked Grandmaster Han if the other instructors tried to jump him, and he was like "Oh...they not stupid..they know me." So basically this story is saying that the World Youn Wha Ryu Association was formed over the weekend and it is now in 12 different states across the US.

Also here is a personal story of mine:

It was the opening house of my martial arts school, and well I was picking on my instructor and he got me in a Chinese Choke Hold and well it took like 5 seconds and I barely felt any pressure so I didn't tap..and I passed out! Now it is an ongoing joke in our schools between my instructor and another guy....we say to each other..YOU BETTER TAP! its funny!

One night in my instructor training class, we were discussing something (can't remember what) in two groups, and mine happened to be seated nearest the instructor. While taking notes, a classmate asked if a word was hyphenated. Well, several minutes after the the brief discussion of spelling had passed, and the rest of us had moved on to a different topic, another student used the phrase " . . . there's a fine line . . . " where he was immediately cut off by the first student with "I knew it was hyphenated." At first, only the instructor had noticed what she had said, and i thought that he was going to have a stroke from laughing!

HAHA! That sounds like something I would say..LOL!!

I have another story!

One night in kids class one of my instructors was getting on to the kids b/c they wouldnt stop goofing off and talking out of turn and things, well he got into the third sentence and one of the kids was like "Mr. you know you have fangs like a vampire..HERE AND HERE" and the kid opened his mouth and showed him....the instructor told us it was SO HARD not to laugh! when he told us..i laughed for a good 5 minutes! LOL!

One time....

Sensei was demonstrating something or other and using me as a model. He threw a roundhouse kick at me and I stepped back and blocked with an inside middle. He pulled the kicked, but immediately my forearm turned all red and swelled to three times its normal size. He barely hit me, but it swelled anyway. He got all apologetic and actually kinda avoided me for a few days. the swelling didn't go down until the next day.

Imagine if he kicked me full force...
