y2_sub Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 It took me 5 years as a hole to get to black belt , 2 years as a brown belt ( i was missing a lot of training sessions back then) Moon might shine upon the innocent and the guilty alike
gheinisch Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 It took me 5 1/2 yrs to get to black belt. But as others will tell you it's not the color of your belt but the knowledge you acquire on your journey to black. It sounds like you're not trying to rush too your next belt which is good. octopic Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 It took me 13 years to get to my current rank (2nd dan), but I did have some time off in the middle. Nidan -- Shaolin Kempo KarateLearn Shaolin Kempo Karate at Loudoun Academy of Martial Arts
