I actually dont realy know. I just do what my instructor says .I mean we have releases for every belt and osmetimes other things as well which have holds and stuff but its not really learning how to hold someone, just get out of one. But i guess there are like hold take downs in those. But i think releases are in every style.

Just curious, but od the rest of you guys have releases in your styles of karate?

yep,I tought that goju had a lot of katas,but in comparisson to your style and wado ryu we are small in kata.

How many katas you have in Goju ???

Goju has 12 I think.

You can become a great fighter without ever becoming a martial artist, but no sir, you can not become a great martial artist with out becoming a great fighter. To fight is most certainly not the aim of any true martial art, but they are fighting arts all the same. As martial artists, we must stand ready to fight, even if hoping that such conflict never comes.
