fallen_milkman Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Looks a bit similar to our kuntao, which only makes sense both arts being Indonesian influenced. Mainly the adhereing to your opponent aspect. 36 styles of danger

fallen_milkman Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Interesing...why they would name their 18-week basics course the same as an individual artform, I have no idea. 36 styles of danger
Goju_boi Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 maybe they want aspects of that art into their curriculum. https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
ps1 Posted October 5, 2005 Author Posted October 5, 2005 Ok,Thanks for the responses. I was just seeing if anyone here had trained in the system. In regards to the videos. I agree they are not very impressive. I just put it there to give you an idea of the arts. The system we use is not the Malay system, but the Tjimindi Teii system. Thanks again for your help. abel Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Check out this website https://www.cimande.com.You can get a lot of information about pukulan Cimande. Its a pure Indonasian Silat style from the island of Java.I have undergone some classes in this style. It's avery brutal and a complete style. In the begining it's very hard to follow because it's just like a dance and it has very flowing movements. It covers striking ,grappling ,ground fighting ,pressure points, internal energy and so on.I have done some shaolin Kung fu before and what i feel is that the principle and techniques of Pukulan Cimande is completely differant from chenese arts.In the website above,It's wriiten that William wietzel was trained in the Cimande Silat by Mas Djut one of the famous Cimande experts.i have found some information that our Pandekar (Grand Master) had some training under William Wietzel.Later he followed his research on the pure Cimande Silat and had trained under differant Pandekars in Indonasia. You can find a lot more in the website.Thank YouAbel Yss
