Why_Worry Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 um....i dont really recomend sticking your head towards an oponent. I mean if it works for you then do it, but it doesnt sound very safe as they can easily hit you spine or something on your backr or like elbow your head or something. But whatever, your the one doing it and who knows it might work, thats just how i see it. Focus
Meguro Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 . . .All in all, Meguro gave the best advice. I'd go with that.A broken clock is right twice a day. Thanks, Skeptic.
y2_sub Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 I think i'm just gonna take it to him and try to mix it in there with him instead of looking for ways out. That should surprise him! It will surprise him t the first time , after that , he won't be surprised , I think the only way to overcome him is by becoming a good infighter , work on that . Moon might shine upon the innocent and the guilty alike

But whatever, your the one doing it and who knows it might work, thats just how i see it.I guess I didn't explain completely. You obviously don't stay there and hang out for an extended time, and your body isn't forward so much that the back of your neck is exposed. This tactic is highly aggressive which forces the opponent to back up and/or into a very defensive mode, leaving a nice window for a good combination and/or power strike. As for risks of elbow strikes to the head or neck; they are surprisingly low if your head is placed high up in the chest (mid sternum or higher), even if they can make contact, they have very little space and leverage to do any real damage, (try to hit yourself in the chest with your elbow or a punch, the most you can do is pound your chest like a gorilla) and if you are able to move in quickly, strike and move out, you should be just fine. This move does rely however on explosive advances to prevent opponent detection and couters.

I wouldn't advise that unless he's already a good infighter. What he wants to do is make the guy fight his fight, not fight the other guy's fight. If he tries to infight with the guy, he will get mauled, unless he's got a good infighting game. How different would the tyson - lewis match had been if lewis tried to infight with tyson? He woulda gotten smoked. But he was smart - he kept tyson on the outside, where he could pick him apart - lewis made him fight his fight.

I think you are misunderstanding what he's saying - you may just need to see it.
