Smurf Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Rawai was the camp just down the road from me, it looked quality! When I head to phuket again I might take the Saturday off and hed there "sweat is the essential element. The sea in which the martial artists are born and through which they swim"
Rich_2k3 Posted November 23, 2005 Author Posted November 23, 2005 I hear that a big part of the training in the camps is a very strict diet, they try to lose as much excess weight as possible, although Thai fighters are different builds than Western fighters. orion82698 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I haven't been able to keep up on this. How was your trip? I don't have to be the best, just better than you!Working towards 11% BF and a Six pack
Rich_2k3 Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 I'm leaving in 5 days (Nov28). "When my enemy contracts I expand and when he expands I contract" - Bruce Lee
amerikickkarate Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I definitely recommend doing some training over there. You will be meeting and training with some of the most creative and powerful martials artists in the world. The diet is a key to keeping up with these masters. So be hard on yourself with this and you will be pleasantly rewarded. I would like to here the outcome. Do you have a blog or somewhere where you will be writing about your trip? Sharing my years of expertise and owner of Amerikick where every kid gets their 1st karate class free. Expert karate lessons
