Goju_boi Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Unfortunately, that truth varies depending on preconceptions that are not removed during study.what do you mean, can you put it in simple terms for a teenager please? https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
beAns Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 hahaha, it really depends on if you're comfortable enough.I use one style as the backbone as my whole system(my 1st and favoirt style Xin yi ) then I build other moves on top of it. So at the end old Xin yi really isn't Xin yi anymore, but you can still tell where I came from. There's habbits to everyone and it's only common sense that you do what you feel right.

Goju_boi Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 If I had the money, and the time... I would love to cross train. Muay Thai & BJJ has always peaked my interest! That would be a good mix:traditional styles with mma.Actually Tony Jaa has a similar combination of what you want to do.He does Muay Thai and Tae kwon do. https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
gojupralgo Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I don't believe that all styles will blend together, but some things mix very well.I trained in GOJU, but learned some aspects of Aikido, and Judo. Grappling techniques work real well, and can be incorporated into self defense techniques.
Goju_boi Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 yep grappling is always good to know. https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
