Hey all,

I'm about to leave for my first BJJ tournament. It's an in school tournament (I go to an offshoot of a large school that has two sub schools). Should be fun.

Who is crazy enough to compete on six weeks of training?

That's right, I am :D

Thanks for the support everyone!

I took 1st place in my division (only one other guy). I fought at 187 pounds, just barely made light heavyweight (had to take off my shirt and belt to do it, haha). I won my fight about two minutes in by submission due to a Ezekiel Choke from the mount.

I will try to put up video once I upload it (which may take a while, I just got a new camcorder, and I'm technologically impaired) and some pictures, if I can figure out how to take still frames from the video.

Thanks again!

I competed really early when I started BJJ too. It is a great experience. Competing against different people than the ones in your club gives you a whole new perspective on your game, doesn't it?

Glad you had a great experience.
