jnpnshr411 Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Wow I am very happy because, some of you might remember how i was complaining of the lack of effort from the higher belts. But Between today and yesterday I have seen that the yellow belts are really good. There katas were looking great. I spend alot of time training with them (3 days a week) so i feel that them getting better is also an accomplishment for me. There sparring has improved significantly. But what really had me with jaw dropped was there nice stances and execution. they looked like green belts in there katas. Does anyone ever feel this proud after days like this ? im G A Y and i love you i W A N K over you EVERY DAY!!!
karatekid1975 Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Yes! Coolness. When I was in TSD, my instructor was hard on us (even the beginners) about technique. I trained 5 to 6 days a week. And I wanted to be the best I can be. Technique-wise I was (that's not ego talking, that's my instructor's teaching talking). Now in TKD, I am a little hard on the beginners (sometimes I think I'm too hard), but one lady picked it up very well (I taught her how to punch correctly). At the next tourny, she broke with a punch first try. I was so proud of her (she was a yellow belt at the time).I also taught a white belt about the "mechanics" of a kick. He picked it up, and he is one of the best kickers in the Jr class (he is also a yellow belt now). I don't think it's me. It's the way I was taught from the get-go. But when I see something like above, I am so proud of the one I taught, not me. It just blows me away when I can teach a student soemthing, and they can blow me away with it. It is awsome! Laurie F

I've noticed my lower ranks are progressing a much faster rate and at a much higher level than some of the students who came before them. To an extent I see it as a personal failure on my end in regards to my older students, but I've also learned how to imrpove them as well, so they'll be comming along. But yeah when you have a fresh batch of motivated students it really helps you get through the day with a smile on your face "Question oneself, before you question others"

orion82698 Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 It really excites me to see students of lower belts pushed harder as if they were a higher belt. I think (My opinion) that reflects a lot on the school and the instructors. Students in schools like this should be proud to be a white/yellow belt. I don't have to be the best, just better than you!Working towards 11% BF and a Six pack
