dbrillha Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 I'm not saying that okinawan and japanese karate are vastly different,just that they have some ovious diffeences.anyways like you said if one where to transfer to the other,it wouldn't be so hard to adjust.Sounds like you and I are in agreement on this then.

But I have done Shotokan and Tang Soo Do, and to me they are very similar in many ways. I'd say 95% of what you learned in one would carry over to the other. I think some of the forms are the same/very similar.
