it's both name and elemnts of kata, for example i can see the elements of white crane in kata Tensho

or kata Hakutsuru has the name of crane on it.

well we have tensho,but my schools website doesn't mention hakutsuru.I think I'll ask sensei if we have it tonight?These are the katas in my dojos website:sanchin,gekisai dai ich,gekisai dai ni,saifa,seiyunchin,shisochin,sanseru,sepai,kururunfa,seisan,suparunpei,and tensho.Out of all of these the only one I kow for sure that has animal movements is tensho and kururunfa.

Hukutsuru kata is a part of shuri te ,comming from Matsumura. i don't practice Goju ryu but i am sure if you look around you will see more animal moves in your kata, like in seisan the open hand blocks when you turn back should be one of the animal styles.

well goju ryu has the white crane,but I have no idea when I'm using it.
when you become a neidan, i think, but i know its after black belt cause i learn white crane too after black belt,
