CagedWarrior Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 To be honest I really wouldn't call it effective, but it looks like it'd be a lot of fun if you're into that sort of thing (I just like the violence, what can I say) and it looks really cool. Won't really win you a fight though.

Jay Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 i belive it would win you a fight if you where good enough at it the same as everything else The key to everything is continuity achieved by discipline.
JusticeZero Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Don't know that instructor offhand. If tought that way, it can be very effective. Most teachers don't teach for fighting effectiveness, but the paranoia and awareness in lying, cheating, manipulating, and backstabbing are pretty useful, keeps you from being a sucker. Stay loose and remember that life isn't a video game, real fights people pull knives and guns when your back is turned, pull sympathy and leave with your girl before the cops arrive once they've attacked you and lost. Kaminari Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Most effective or brutal? In my opinion, I'd have to say Krav Maga, Kyokushin Karate, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, Pankration, and a couple of others, although any style taught and trained in the right way can be just as effective or brutal as any other.
