Kara Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 well the story lines for action movies and especially martial arts movies don't have exactly the best story lines.I completely agree on that one goju_boi.Ong-bak was an awsome movie, saw it in the theatres and now own it on dvd. Kaminari Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Basically, the premise of the story is that someone steals Ong Bak's head (their god or whatever), and they need to get it back before the big tournament in a few days. So, the main character goes to find the head. The plot isn't the greatest, and the acting isn't very good, but the stunts and fight scenes are unreal.
kzshin Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 I have seen HK version, Taiwan version, US version, and VCD version. I think the US version is actually the French version, so the back ground music and sound effects are not original, and it sounds weird on negative side. HK versioin and VCD version were cutted in certain scenes due to violence. Taiwan version seems to be exact same as orginal, but the DVD doesn't come with special feature, so it's a movie only. I heard the best one will be the Thai version and Japan version, since there are no cut, and there are all the making of movie clip, which is very good to watch.
Goju_boi Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 so how edited is the American/French version ? https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
orion82698 Posted September 30, 2005 Author Posted September 30, 2005 so how edited is the American/French version ?LOL... it's almost too funny to watch. You know how Jackie Chan Movies are.... well this was worse. I had to stop watching it in English, and just read the subtitles. I don't have to be the best, just better than you!Working towards 11% BF and a Six pack

jedimc Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Brillaint martial art and stunt scenes but all the rest is boring. http://jedimc.tripod.com/ma.html - what MA do you do, this is my poll.
Goju_boi Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Brillaint martial art and stunt scenes but all the rest is boring.i wouldn't say it's boring ,but I guess the action outdoes the acting. https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
orion82698 Posted October 3, 2005 Author Posted October 3, 2005 I thought the best parts where when he was running through the streets, and the main fight seen when he knocks out all three of the "bad guys" in the bar I don't have to be the best, just better than you!Working towards 11% BF and a Six pack
