orion82698 Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 Friday nights part of the test was the hardest and most psysically demanding things I have ever done. 4 mile run on the beach, 500 push ups, 500 situp, forms, then kicks. By the time we got to the kicks both my legs were cramping but I and the other 3 testing with me got through it. we went home around 10 that night after 4 hours of training and were back for the test at noon on Saturday. Everything went perfect. all the boards broke, all the patio blocks broke, we remembered our forms and the spinning jump in Chung-moo did not kill the ankle I sprained tuesday. All 4 of us got our confirmed 1st dan black belts.Holy crap! Now that's what I call training. Where are you located? BTW.... CONGRATS ON THE BB! You have certainly earned it doing all that with a sprained ankle! I don't have to be the best, just better than you!Working towards 11% BF and a Six pack
Menjo Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 yea that workout is impressive, i wish we did that... "Time is what we want most, but what we use worst"William Penn
orion82698 Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 LOL... yeah, that's what I thought. The place I'm looking at does that style of training, there just isn't a beach around. I run at parks, tracks and my tread mill. Nothing is as tough as a beach run. Especially if you do it where you chase the waves, then they chase you. Keeps your mind off the run, but wow do your legs hurt afterwards. A friend and I went for a two mile jog/run on the beach this past summer. I had been training for a while, so I thought I was ready. Man.... we went out at the busy part of the day. We were dodging kids left and right. Probably the best workout. I was so tired afterwards!
