Sengra Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 What are the weapons used by ninjas? Are their dojos teaching ninjitsu? The stronger swordsman does not always win.

Ryujin Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 They had a very large range of weaponry. Even their swords where varied. Traditionaly a ninja's sword was straight, but they also used katanas (especially if they were taken from a dead samurai,) and I've even heard of them using wooden swords (because they were lighter/quieter.) They used caltrops to stop enemies from following them, and sometimes dipped their blades/arrows/darts in poison. They were also very tricky, and there possesions often had hidden secondary uses. Such as making the scabard of their sword longer than it needed to be so that a hidden compartment could be built into the end, or desighning it so that the closed end could open up and then the scabbard could be used as a type of snorkle, allowing them to hide under water for long periods of time. Kusara-kama are another weapon they used, and a favourite of mine
swordwiz7 Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 wow thats pretty cool. what type of schools teach that? "Treat no one lightly; think nothing is useless, for everyone has one's moment, and everything has its place""We are all different thus we are all the same"90% of teenagers have tried smoking pot OR drinking. pepto_bismol Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 my instructor started teaching me ninjutsu in october (my birthday) also gave me some starsbut I don't think it lives up to all the hype. Most of my ninjutsu training consisted of me climbing up and down tree's, silent moving drills, swimming techniques (push a log in front of you while your body is underwater that way the enemy thinks it is just a log) etcI think if you want to be an ninja, buy a gun like a normal person. After all ninjas were mostly assasins or spy's, right? YAY pepto bismol
