Kicks
YIKES!!! Wish us luck! From NOLA.COM:New Orleans in Katrina's Cross-hairsThe latest forecast track for Hurricane Katrina - issued at 4 a.m. CDT - has the strengthening storm crossing lower Plaquemines, then north on a line directly across the New Orleans metro area. The storm has intensified and is now a Category 3, with sustained winds of 115 mph and higher gusts. Some major models have it strengthening to a Category 4, or even Category 5 by landfall Monday evening. It is moving to the west near 7 mph and is approximately 430 miles southeast on the mouth of the Mississippi River. A gradual turn to the west-northwest is expected during the next 24 hours.Gov. Kathleen Blanco declared a state of emergency late Friday, making it easier to implement emergency procedures, including evacuations, if necessary. New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin said he will make a decision about evacuations and other emergency procedures today about noon.http://www.goes.noaa.gov/GIFS/HUIR.JPG when you create the world's largest trailer park, you're going to have tornadoes

Kicks
Thanks guys.we evacuated to a friend's house just north of new orleans, but we were still in the path of the storm but away from the flood threat. we lost power at 6pm this evening, so we packed up again and we all webt to our friend's sister's housr in bat on rouge. that's where weare now. we'll still get some effects of the storm and will probably lose power tomorrow (monday). we are being told that the area inside the levee system can be under water for up to 6 months! The winds will cause major damage to homes and commercial structures.that all wooden homes will be destroyed. that our cemetaries will collaspe and caskets will will be floating in the flood waters, no power for weks or months. i may not be able to go home for a long time. if i have a home t when you create the world's largest trailer park, you're going to have tornadoes
