Workout Motivation

I am curious as to what you guys use for motivation in working out.

I for one am starting a new routine that I think will work a little better for me than the last one...

What do you guys do for motivation?

I watch MA movies while I workout (for cardio)

In my workout room, I have pictures of myself (before I lost 60lbs) and now. That really modivates me.

I don't have to be the best, just better than you!

I might listen to some fast paced music, sometimes i just get in a certain mood. If your angry, however i mainly just start hitting the punching bag lightly then i suddenly cant help but go full force then it just continues from there, find your own little ways and thell always work the best.

When training for a tournament I have no problem getting through the workout, I just sometimes need motivation to get to training. So I think to myself "What is my competition doing right now? I'll bet they're training to kick my butt". That gets me out the door in a heart beat!!!

What about location of your workouts?

Say, for instance, you dont have access to a proper studio or dojang or dojo (whatever it may be)...

Where then would you work out?

Room?

Basement?

Yard?

Thats a good question, I dont train in my yard because everyone would think im nuts so i train in a part of my basement just big enough to do a kata and have enough room to comfortably train. And i have some equipment down there also.

i have photos of the guys i face in competition. keep the guy in mind that always beats you.

i don't let it discourage me, instead, i work harder knowing that next time i face him i'd have worked harder than he did.
