Man, you are saying what we are all thinking. I did not understand that song at all, i mean besides the fact most of the song they were mumbling, but it was a wierd song.

you can check out the lyrics there. I'm pretty sure it's all one large, highly political metaphor. But to directly answer your question: there wasn't really a monkey...it was a volcano and it erupted at the end.
