thaiboxerken
Yes, but it showed power. As far as soaking the bats in water.. that really only serves to make the bat softer, so no.. that is another cheat. Really, I don't think breaking in-animate objects is much of a challenge, more than a macho thing. Patrick
Taezee, did it impress you? Everyone is impressed by different things. Breaking a bat doesn't really impress me at that much. Baseball players do it all the time. Patrick O'Keefe - KarateForums.com AdministratorHave a suggestion or a bit of feedback relating to KarateForums.com? taezee
thats a contradiction about breaking bats with your shins not being a macho thing..around my way the only things bats are used for are baseball and collecting the "vig" on shady loans  Javier l Rosario instructor taekwondo/hapkidounder master Atef s Himaya"whenever youre lazy enough not to train .someone, somewhere is training very hard to kick your *"

niel0092
Quick question, not sure if you can really answer it: What does it "feel" like to break concrete? I haven't done this yet. Compare it to breaking boards in terms of physical feeling and emotions. "Jita Kyoei" Mutual Benefit and Welfare

niel0092
Level of focus, the feeling of ellation (sp?) from doing the break, physical moment of impact... Like I said maybe this cant really be answered unless you do the break yourself. "Jita Kyoei" Mutual Benefit and Welfare
iamrushman
NEIL......questions for you?........what experience do you have with board breaking?...such as, how many boards at one time? what type of techniques used for these breaks? your TKD background? depending on the answers to these questions. maybe we can be of some help. rushman (karate forums sensei)3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon"saying nothing...sometimes says the most"--e. dickerson
Iron Arahat
Has anyone done ice breaks here? I'm just curious what it's like in comparison to concrete. I like how it looks when you break ice, but I have a feeling it isn't much of a feat in comparison to concrete. The problem I think is just getting those big slabs of ice to break. Or one of those ice swans you see at those fancy sunday brunches at the country club, might be even cooler. Seriously has anyone done this (I mean the ice slabs not the swan)?
