While reading through this forum I have seen that one of the keys to accomplishment in the use of internal forces is beleif. I have tried to do many excercises uses internal energies but becuase of lack of evidence I cannot believe I am able to do what I am trying to do.

As a young child (before the age of 7) it is usually the case that sucha young person finds it easier too put faith in or beleive in things,( such as God for example, off topic but does the belief in internal enrgies contradict faith in God?) I am now 13 years old and cant find any faith. am i too old starting or shall i press on not beileving one day i shall accomplish something.

Please send serious replies because I wish more than anything to be able to harness my inner strength.

Internal energy does not contradict (in my mind) any concept of a diety. Different people will tell you different things, though. Some may say it gets you closer to understanding the big Dao, some may say it's a sign you're letting the devil in, etc etc. You can believe / work with internal energy and still believe / worship a diety.

You are not too old to start working with internal energy. Many people do not start until later in life (65, 75, even older), while some start very, very early.

The trick is to find a good teacher. There are many, many imposters out there who can come up with all sorts of credintials that will lead you on a horrible path. That's another long, long topic, though.

Wow. I'd suggest you realize that you're NORMAL. Please be kind to yourself. Most people have selft doubt, and at your age it's extremely common. Don't compare your insides to others outsides.

If you have close friends I'd suggest talking with them. Or your folks if you can. If not, seek out a teacher, or other adult that you respect and talk with them. Help is there if things are horrible. If not, it's still there and if you make a little effort you'll be fine. Just don't forget that people do care and you will accomplish things. Actually you've probably had many accomplishments that you're not thinking about. AFterall you made it to 13. That's pretty cool as you're finally a teenager! Enjoy it! Those can be the best years of your life if you make them that way.

Nope, you are at the perfect age to have "faith" in the drivel you will see on the Internal Art forum regerding "internal forces". The stuff you see on DBZ and Shaolin Showdown are cartoon and not possible in the non-animated world. The sooner you have "faith" in that and truly work on your own "inner strenghth" the better off you'll be.

Chi does exist, but you can't shoot a ball of energy across a room, or have mind control, know someone out from twenty feet away, leap tall buildings in a single bound, or any other number od magical powers. Your Chi is your Chi, and why would you want it to leave your body in the first place?
