Adonis Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 emanuel Yarbourgh against a japense takaese was funny to watch in Pride. I think that was the same sumo who went against Keith Hackney in the UFCEmanuel is freakin HUGE!!!!!!!!! He lost both of his fights in the UFC and Pride.
Rikishi Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 He lost both of his fights in the UFC and Pride.Ok but don't forget that he was a 2 time World Sumo Champion in Open Weight, and a 3 time World Sumo Champion in Teams Competition. And yes that man is HUGE! One year later.....! Japan again..This time to win, and not to get injured I HOPE!
ravenzoom Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 But he was, In my opinion, too slow to fight in the octagon. Some Sumo fighters are really big and quick, but he was huge and slow. I think others would have a better chance than him
Meguro Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 He lost both of his fights in the UFC and Pride.Ok but don't forget that he was a 2 time World Sumo Champion in Open Weight, and a 3 time World Sumo Champion in Teams Competition. And yes that man is HUGE! But he wasn't a yokozuna- just a big fat guy. The really good sumotori, imo, are the smaller athletic types like the current champ Asashoryu, and Chiyonofuji, who goes back a few years.
