fighter_not_a_lover
ive got my own style which takes up a dictionary width book to fit it all in called Pseudonaja-fist which in the street has prooved effective. me and my friends use it and we range from 9stn - 18stn and its worked for all of us.5 styles.Birch - deadweight defence attacks and blocks, stance similar to drunken boxing. very loose but strong.Fire - aggressive stance and all the strikes are used while travelling, backwards or sideways. Water - adaptation to your environment and oppononent, comes with alot of philosophies.Air - counter-intimidation techniques and intimidation invoking techniques used in the street is very effective. Pseudo - deception and effectiveness fakies, expressional lies (e.g.looking calm when your style is aggressive) and shock techniques to stun your opponent or confuse him. note; you can use more than one of these styles at a time, my favoured mix is Pseudo-fire and toms is birch. ps1
Why did you choose that name for "your" system? What is 9stn? Why do you feel your style is original enough to be called "yours?" fighter_not_a_lover
Pseudonaja Fist; because pseudonaja means 'fake cobra'.pseudo = fake naja = cobra9 stn = 9 stonebecause it is what came from me, which i have adapted my own concepts and ideas to a art. it can maybe have similar movements to other martial arts but what martial arts dont?i dont want to take money, im simply asking what do i start with in teaching? so far i teach them balancing excorsized that do infact work quickly and effectivly to improove balance, i know all the warm ups and stuff. but in moves what would i teach first? clearly the basics like straight punches and how to do a straight punch correctly.i am not missing earth, birch is a type of tree that is very flexible but very strong. earth is too broad for this style. and i named the individual style out of what it reminded me of, i didnt think up names then add a concept. this isnt based on anything but what i know and have learnt which is more than im guessing you suspect. alot of studdying and practice every day, finding out about other martial arts and adapting it to me. it just happens to work for the people who ask me to teach them when they see me doing it with my best friend tom. these people are usually martial artists them selves, most of the people i know do a martial art of some kind. fighter_not_a_lover
Q. Wouldn't you also get "drunken boxing" if you use fire-water?A. Not particularly, unless the fire water your talking about is vodka .but anyway, no the fire style has much more of a kickboxing stance with most weight on the back leg and the front leg at a stronger angle i learnt from bas rutten and the water idea is more about not being so fluid. you wouldnt notice a major similarity between them except for maybe my strafeing back hands.the fire style was the hardest to learn and practice, moving and striking in a combo is hard to do unless you know how. rotating around your opponent while striking the right areas also knowing they might turn any direction it takes alot of concentration to practice but ive done it. isshinryu5toforever
please explain exactly how you became trained in martial arts. How many years/decades, how old you are, etc. You study and practice every day, what do you practice? What did you study? How did you study it? We're all a bit skeptical whenever someone says they want to teach their own style. Oh an tkdBill, nice job with the fire-water comment. He who knows others is wise. fighter_not_a_lover
understandable. i trained in kickboxing for 4 years untill i realised once they taught me the concept all the rest seemed very easy to put together and it just worked. i could beat my trainer/teacher/sensai asif he was a novice. i studdy everything i can find, using the internet and books and my own body. kickboxing taught me how to kick and punch and aim my attacks. i am 18 years old. you would have to read a biography to not be skeptical i think . robert is my best friend and he teaches karate that actually teaches parts of aikido, ju jitsu and multiple others and i trained with him privately, but not paying just 2 friends teaching each other and sharing ideas. his dad who originally taught him asked me to join his karate class multiple times stating that i have better technique than most of his blackbelts and saying he needed someone like me in the class. im very very determined but calm and i dont give up. ive spent alot of time adapting concepts to my passion which is art and loving body manipulation. changing your opppnents direction of weight and joints. i have a firm spiritual belief in karma and also meditate kuji-in style. im 100% martial art and martial artists i know agree. its in my heart i cant stop doing it. ide love to be able to show you all a sample!!!
