Goju_boi Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 what are the styles that involve the nunchaku? https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
granmasterchen Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 depends on the instructor usually, whether he/she wants to teach weapons, and which ones they decide to teach, of course they would have to have knowledge so ....again, it all depends on instructor. That which does not destroy me will only make me stronger
Goju_boi Posted August 20, 2005 Author Posted August 20, 2005 well, yeah but there are styles that teach them like kobudo, but I'm not sure what other styles use them. https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
Bushido Fist Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 i read some were that there was a style dedicated only to Nunchaku.they have there own Gi's and different belt advances.
Goju_boi Posted August 27, 2005 Author Posted August 27, 2005 I normally use arnis style for my nunchaku.what do you mean? https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
Zauriel Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 I normally use arnis style for my nunchaku.what do you mean?I mean I usually do nunchaku with my Arnis/Escrima skills. Many of Nunchaku techniques Bruce Lee showed are similar to Arnis techniques. And my arnis instructor confirmed my suspicions.
Goju_boi Posted August 27, 2005 Author Posted August 27, 2005 does arnis have nunchaku? https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
Zauriel Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 Of course. Arnis is more than a stickfighting art. It is also a diverse weapons art. It may be a stickfighting art and an arnisador always learns to fight with sticks at the beginning. However, in Arnis you can also fight with bare empty hands, knives, daggers, swords, spears, and of course, nunchakus, etc.
