Hitman Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 So what I wanna know is how many murders or assaults are committed with regular butcher's knives and whether the Gov't is outlawing them... shi wa hei to de aru"All are equal in the grave"
Goju_boi Posted November 10, 2005 Author Posted November 10, 2005 well murders are more common with firearms than blades,so i don't see the gov. outlawing butcher knives. https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
Hitman Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 I was meaning there in Australia...I'd like to see some numbers on a country that has gun laws and how many murders are then committed with blades... shi wa hei to de aru"All are equal in the grave"
Balrog Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 My brain. It's the best weapon of all when used correctly, because it will keep me out of trouble in the first place.
shogeri Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 First thing you do when any weapon is involved is quickly assess the situation, and determine the best way out of.If you are trapped, and or are for certain, that they will use the weapon, then consider it nothing more than an extension of their body. Avoid getting hit with it. If it's a gun take cover. If you are close enough to take the gun, and or fight, and your life is at stake, then fight for it.If you have a stick, use it when the moment calls for it.A gun is effective at close or long range. There are many variables to consider when gun is involved. Too many for me to go into right now.Sticks and blades, well, those can be taken care of a little more easily. That's what I say for the moment... Aodhan Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 I was meaning there in Australia...I'd like to see some numbers on a country that has gun laws and how many murders are then committed with blades...The scandinavian countries have mandatory (or at least they used to) firearm training by age 12. They also have some of the lowest gun accident/murder rates in the world.Interestingly enough, they also don't restrict age for alcohol. You can go straight from the baby bottle to the vodka bottle. They also have some of the lowest alcoholism rates as well.Something to think about.Aodhan There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.-Douglas Everett, American hockey player
