yamesu Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 There was an incident with gangs in Sydney Australia a few years ago involving baseball bats and samurai swords (katana.)It was broadcast on national news. This post just reminded me of it.The outcome was not pretty as lives were taken, Im sure the outcomes of any situation involving the use of a weapon maliciously is not a pretty thing. It also set the cherry on the cake for harsher sword-laws in AU. Enviroman Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 I know a group of kung fu practioners that were accosted by a random street thug group that wanted to "show their stuff." I know some weapons were used...but only blunt objects.

ShotokanKid Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 Well, I know of people using crowbars and baseball bats and street knives, but I don't think I know of anyone whipping out their sai and beating people down with it. granmasterchen Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 there was a fight within the last year over here in misawa japan, where one of the martial artists on the base had brought a set of nunchuku with him off base and went to a bar. He obviously did this because he knew that he was going to get jumped, must have started some trouble with someone. Well it turned out that three guys attacked him in the bar, he whipped out the chucks and with three swings, one to each, hit and took them out...then he ran off....they never did find out who the guy was. That which does not destroy me will only make me stronger
