thaiboxerken Posted July 18, 2001 Posted July 18, 2001 Well.. first off, the internet probably isn't the best place to learn technique. Also, we did give him an answer before we started with the jokes. If you look at the joke, the answer is in there, "keep your chin down". Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.

DIABLO Posted July 18, 2001 Author Posted July 18, 2001 Keeping your chin down isn't advice. it's common sense. I didn't say I was getting killed, it's just a weakness. Does anyone have any good head movement drills , and also drills to make your opponent miss? keep your hands up!!
Angus Posted July 18, 2001 Posted July 18, 2001 You could always check your footwork and use your feet to get outta the way instead of just twisting your torso.. Lighten up people, Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
thaiboxerken Posted July 22, 2001 Posted July 22, 2001 You should let people know in what venue of fighting style you are talking about. There is a huge difference in tactics between boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, Bando-boxing, savate, kumite, MMA/NHB and real fighting. This will help you get better tips on what you are trying to accomplish. Example: Instead of saying "how do i counter an uppercut?" you should specify "how do I counter an uppercut fighting in kickboxing rules?" Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.
Angus Posted July 22, 2001 Posted July 22, 2001 I just give advice for street situations.... I didn't take this into account either.... oops. Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
