yamesu
If im thinking what your thinking of then,One is a Gim, a non-floppy double-edged blade.the other,A taji sword, a floppy double-edged blade. In appearance, the only difference is the thickness, and brittleness of the blades, however, the wielding of the weapons requires quite different manipulations I would assume.I dont do kungfu/taichi, so this is the extent of my knowledge.Hope this helps. ovine king
not quite, the floppy sword is something else entirely. There is also a trend for wushu competitions to use a floppier sword because they think it looks good but this is not the same floppy sword that i mentioned earlier.there is no difference between the sword used in tai chi and a 'normal' chinese straight sword. When you hear them refer to it as 'tai chi sword' they are refering to the sword form, not the sword itself. earth is the asylum of the universe where the inmates have taken over.don't ask stupid questions and you won't get stupid answers.
