and now for something completely different......

my favorite is the sword fight between "the dread pirate roberts" and "the spaniard" in the princess bride.

pure class, with witty repartis.

Actually, i really can't believe no one has said it:

Neo vs Morpheus in "The Matrix"

Sure it was unrealistic, it was supposed to be.

Sure neither one of them is a "real" martial artist: who cares?

It was a truly awsome scene, and was absolutely loaded with great martial arts fighting philosophy, like:

"Stop trying to hit me and hit me!"

I actually have been asked by my own instructor, well before this movie was ever out:

"How did I beat you? You are both much younger than me, and much faster."

right after he thoroughly thrashed me. i never was convinced I was actually any faster than him, though.

..and i've heard "Again!" more times than I can count...

I also thoroughly enjoyed Neo vs. Seraph in "The Matrix Reloaded"

"You cannot truly know a man until you fight him", or something like that.

Jet Li in Kiss of the Dragon - against two blondes.

Jackie Chan in Who Am I - on roof against two guys. What styles where they doing? The tall one was doing tkd right?

Jet Li in Cradle To The Grave - last fight against main bad guy, especially liked the part where the bad guy would throw a kick and jet would kick his leg away before it would reach him. otherwise horrible movie.

Brad Pitt final bare-knuckle fight in Snatch.

Bruce Lee fights in Game of Death (The rest of the movie sucked. Should've just left it alone.)

Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro's final battle in The Hunted (seemed fairly realistic, though I'd be down after some of the cuts they got.)

All I got for now.

Best of the Best 2- Gunman after Alex's son in the house

The Hot ,the Cool, and the Vicious- all fights, that guy can kick!

Last of the Mohicans- when the father killes the main bad guy

best comical fight scene: Fearles Hyenna...Chan dressed as girl fighting big guy in fur...Jackie throws his boob:)

Well, those are my favorites!

Spookey

Do not defend against an attacker, but rather become the attacker...Destroy the enemy!

TAEKWON!

Why hasn't anyone mentioned the god of all fight scenes? Someone came excruciatingly close with the Jackie Chan boob-flinging scene.

Jackie Chan as Chun Li (and scrawny E.Honda) in City Hunter!

Yeah, I'd have to say the Jet Li vs Generic Tall Blondex2 was a great scene.

I liked the Jet Li vs UFC scene in Cradle 2 the Grave, as unrealistic as that was (Li would be tender turkey breast in real life), it was a really good scene. "I'm not Bruce".

===================

When cornered, kick 'em in the spetznats. If that doesn't work, run around acting like an epilept + flail your arms about while whizzin' in your pants, then fall down foaming at the mouth. They'll be so disgusted THEY will walk away from the fight....
