OldRookie Posted March 18, 2002 Posted March 18, 2002 Good pics Ram....also.the latest Jet Li film on DVD "The One",has a good showdown with the "good" Jet VS the "bad" Jet. Yeah, it has a tons of wire work & CG-not true one-on-one fight scenes like the old days but its still pretty cool. *1st Dan Oct 2004*"Progress lies not enhancing what is, but in advancing toward what will be.""It is better to deserve honors and not have them than to have them and not deserve them."
spinninggumby Posted March 18, 2002 Posted March 18, 2002 Hmmm the following kinda stand out: Jet Li vs. Billy Chow in Fist of Legend (end fight) Jackie Chan vs. Ken Lo in Drunken Master 2 (end fight) Jackie Chan vs. Benny Urquidez in Meals on Wheels (end fight) Majority or many of the fights in Prodigal Son Many many many old school kung fu theater fight scenes Many more old school 80's HK fight scenes that I can't think of or remember [ This Message was edited by: spinninggumby on 2002-03-17 23:47 ] 'Conviction is a luxury for those on the sidelines'William Parcher, 'A BEAUTIFUL MIND'
FiveVenoms Posted April 15, 2002 Posted April 15, 2002 The roof scene in Who Am I? with Jackie Chan vs 2 guys was out of this world rest of the movie was ok though Experience should fear the strength of youth.-Karate Master, Fist of Legend
CTpizzaboy Posted April 15, 2002 Posted April 15, 2002 The kicking mastery in that scene was awesome. Brandon Lee and old man in "Rapid Fire"(toward the end) "The Karate Kid"(At tournament, when Danielsan injured his foot and to compensate goes into a crane stance. In the audience, Mr. Miyagi is twirling his hand drum.) Damn that scene bring back memories of being in grade school, and everyone of my friend would go into a crane stance every time they would play-fight. Canh T.I often quote myself. It adds spice to my conversations.
van_damme Posted April 15, 2002 Posted April 15, 2002 FIVEVENOMS..that fight scene was heavy..the one with the wickid kicks..he was a badman!! My fave fight scenes are.. Van damme in bloodsport..when he beat up chong li. Jet li 'the one' Van damme in black eagle when he done the splits to dodge the kicks. AND FINALLY..WHO COULD FORGET THE MATRIX!!!!!!! When you put water into a cup,it becomes the cup. When you put water in a T-Pot,it becomes the T-Pot..be water my friend!!
Phantasmatic Posted April 15, 2002 Posted April 15, 2002 i like the fight between Jet Li and the General guy in Fist of Legend, that was a sweet fight scene!! "Which one is more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?" - Obi Wan Kenobi
karatekid1975 Posted April 17, 2002 Posted April 17, 2002 Best Of The Best (the first one) the fights at the end in Korea tourny. Jackie Chan in Drunkin Master (all fights), Rush hour 1 and 2. Pretty much all his newer movies are cool. Jet Li in the One (fighting himself), and in The Young Master. The one he plays the student who searches for his master's killer (I forget the name). Great fights. The Quest has some good fights. Different styles of MA fighting each other was interesting. And oh, the movies that got me interested in MA in the first place ..... Karate Kid (all three) ..... Can't ya tell by my screen name ...... Oh Lord, I feel old now....... I like the fights at the end of the movies mostly. And when Miyagi kicked that crap outta the boys that were beating on Daniel (the first one) hehehehe. The little ol' man beatin the crap outta 4 or 5 guys. It was soooooo funny. Laurie F
