but yes it was illegal to train MA until the mid 80's and it is still discouredged to practice any traditional MA other than tai chi.

so how were they able to make all these old school kung-fu movies in china throught the years previous to the 80's?

actually alot of the movie people where chinese opera people who did dance although they where also involved with MA.

most of the movies where shot in hong kong where it was legal to practice TMA
