there was documentry on the action chanel last week about a martial arts tournamet and how all the fighters had to go through rigurous training to get to. there was like 5o fighters.

1. if u saw it what style of fighting were the fighters doing i know some fighters were doing different styles but there was one main style of Karate all of them were doing.

2. is it just me or was some of the stuff of the movie inaccurate, :-? like how they said kungfu was just beutiful but it could never match up to fighting karate when really kungfu practicly created karate. which kinda pissed me off.

3. even though it was maid in 1976 but is the type of tournamnet in the movie evan still legal i meen it was full contact and knowone evan had pads :-? peaple were getting teeth were being knocked out and everytthing. :o

PEACE :D :) :D :kaioken: :karate:

That was a documentary made about Mas Oyama's World Championships. There were mostly Kyokushinkai fighters involved, but there were also fighters from several differant styles.

The documentary follows the U.S. Kyokushinkai team as they train and compete in the tournament.

I watched a tournament like the one in the movies here in Hawaii in the seventies. Full contact with no gloves. Mas Oyama was present and Sonny Chiba fought in the event. There were no broken teeth but a lot of red bodies.
