frightmaster
I attended the Nation American/Korean tournament this past week Upper Dublin, PA and was very impressed with what I seen. I learned so much about fighting just by watching. Sometimes I felt like I was in the ring getting kicked. My only question/statement is that I seen so many (95%) fighters with thier arms down. This was for Black Belts only and thought they would keep them up. Wild but still impressive. February 24, 2007 I received my Black Belt in WTF TKD. frightmaster
From my understanding this was a WTF tournement (I could be wrong) and it was open only to American/Koreans. The rules appeared to be Olympic rules....Scoring as follows.....1 point for a hit to the chest area2 points for controlled kick to the head3 points if knock to the ground. frightmaster
From what I ave been taught is that you can score with a punch (reverse only) and it must STOP or BACK UP your opponent. The is a VERY difficult thing to do with a punch. February 24, 2007 I received my Black Belt in WTF TKD.

The is a VERY difficult thing to do with a punch. There are so many rules with so many orgs.......The org that I'm involved with we can score by touching, granted it has to be a solid hit, but stopping an opponent is not nessesary. Were you taught anything (hand) to the head? Adam (Fluffy) Huntleyhttps://www.rleeermey.comhttps://www.martialartsindustry.net
