JusticeZero Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 The background of it is..? Theories are..? Where did it come from before John Mason assembled it? What is it similar to? What about it's structure and movement is unique enough to warrant a new name? I mean, we kind've have to ask these things, since my eyes glaze at lists of moral principles lacking clear references to physical movement, not knowing how that translates into knowing how you move or train. White Warlock Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Game/5011/chelu.htmlHere's some videos of his son, who holds a 10th degree in that system.http://www.masonkarate.com/Movie1.ramhttp://www.masonkarate.com/Movie2.ramNow, my comments: His son focused on forms competitions, with the present goal to get into movies. I have no idea if that is the totality of Che-lu, as there simply is not enough information provided. On the other hand, he's a tad young to be holding a 10th degree (25 years old). JusticeZero Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Yeah, equivalent to a quintuple-Ph.D at 25 does seem a bit worrisome. "Anything worth doing is worth doing badly." - Baleia
White Warlock Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Hehe, i think he could double for Mario Peeples. "When you are able to take the keys from my hand, you will be ready to drive." - Shaolin DMV TestIntro
yellowbeltchic Posted July 31, 2005 Author Posted July 31, 2005 There are two Mason. There is the son (the one you guys are talking about ) and then there is his dad (the one I am talking about). Confusing ain't it? (whoever found the website, cool and thank you)Someone asked about the backgrounds and other things. Grandmaster Mason studied in Korea, Japan, and China (Kung-fu, TKD, and other system which has escaped my brain). He used different formats, movements, and styles to create Che-lu. So Che-lu was created solely by Grandmaster Mason. Here is the website for Che- lu maybe in can be more help than I am giving now. http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Game/5011/ Anyone can throw a reverse punch, but if you do not have heart, then your punching will be in vain.
