I was wondering if anyone knew what Taekkyon is, because I was thinking about learning it? If anyone knows any video clips of Taekkyon that would be great :)

I did some more research and found out that it is still taught, but it is not as in large quantities as some of the other martial arts. They say that they had nothing to do with Taekwondo and that much of the art was lost. The point of the Taekkyon is to get your opponent off balance. They do not agree with the use of padding like in taekwondo, because it does not give a realistic feel..at least thats what I've read

Taekyon was mostly lost during the Japanese occupation on Korea (1910-1945). There has been a recent interest in Taekyon in Korea.
