CapitalKarate
I believe the instructor would be called a Sensei due to it being a japanese art. Joshua Brehm-When you're not practicing remember this; someone, somewhere, is practicing, and when you meet them, they will beat you.
Enviroman
I think it is shidoshi, if I'm not mistaken.

Sankaku Jime
I'll try to clear things up a little for you. First of all, in response to sparring, we generally don't and there are no Ninjutsu/Budo Taijutsu competitions, however many people at my dojo do compete in NHB,MMA, and grappling tournaments. We train in striking, joint manipulation, groundfighting, stand up grappling, weapons training, evasion, diffusing a situation, meditation, hope I didn't leave anything out. At my dojo all of these aspects are taught in regular class and there is no sparring. For the people that want to we also have a class dedicated to Jutaijutsu(grappling/groundfighting) where the intermediate and more experienced guys put on shin pads and gloves and go full contact as well as just grappling. This post is getting long so I'll stop now but if you have more questions feel free to email me at bkirklan@umd.edu or im me on AIM - ch0colate dutch
